GOMA presents Beyond the Surface, an exhibition by Vita Community Members.
Created by participants of the VITA Community Members weekly studio workshop at GOMA, this exhibition showcases a diverse range of individual styles and techniques, created in 4-6 week blocks over the past year with facilitators, Jena Wade, Jenny O Neill, Ben Hennessy, Ruth Flynn, Julie Cusack & Anne Mc Donnell and led by Jenna Whelan. Orla Kelly, Adele Hartley, Ciara Corbett, Hazel Cleary, Pauline O Meara, Peter O’Flynn,

This exhibition is brought to you in partnership with VITA Community Hub. At the Vita community hub, they offer their service users a range of supports and opportunities which will help them to develop in their lives and achieve their personal goals. Driven by the core principals of New Directions, their service aims to empowerservice users to become more independent and confident within their own lives and in their local community. Linking with community organisations such as the VEC, ETB and the SIDO, Vita aims to offer their service users a range of courses and activities in their community which will help them to develop valued social roles. They also offer weekend and evening outings each month which help service users go to events in andaround, Waterford City such as concerts, theatre and sporting events.
