The Undecided Vote and Of Magdala.

“I believe that art is a powerful tool for driving change.”

We are delighted to be screening two short dance films made by Waterford-born Sophie Hutchinson and Rachel Brennan,
The Undecided Vote and Of Magdala.

Both films have been made without commission and through the kindness and generosity of some incredibly talented artists from Ireland, England and Lithuania.

‘Of Magdala’ which was a collaboration between Rachel & Sophie following a week long residency Yorkshire Dance in Leeds. The short hasnow been screened several times in London and Liverpool.
Rachel’s latest film ‘The Undecided Vote’ was recently premiered on Dazed and Confused and has been very well received already.

“Using spoken word, dance, and music, The Undecided Vote is a powerful rallying cry for those unsure of how they’re voting in the historic referendum.”

Both films use the same soundscape which was created in collaboration with three musicians from Leeds.

Rachel & Sophie both live and work between the UK and Ireland and will be travelling back to Waterford tomorrow for the screening and, of course, to vote. Please come and show your support/have a chat with them!
